Geoff
Geoff Camden Wiles was born in Croydon, Surrey and is --- years old.

After spending 3 years in the Household Cavalry, H.M The Life Guards he started his career in the Entertainments and Leisure Industry as an Assistant Stage Manager at the Peggy Ashcroft Theatre and then as Stage Manager at the Fairfield Halls in Croydon.

Two of Geoff's most memorable occasions was as Stage Manager to The Beatles and Rolling Stones concerts held at the Fairfield Halls in the early careers of these world famous groups.

Moving on as Entertainments Manager at both Butlins Holiday Camps at Filey and Skegness, Geoff soon learned about the Industry and in 1966 he was appointed as Executive General Manager to an Entertainment Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne comprising of Hofbrauhaus Bier Kellar licensed for up to 1,000 customers (16 Bars) a Discotheque called SCAMPS for up to 600 people, 4 Unique intimate 100 seater Cinemas and in another complex a Bingo and Social Club with seating and Bingo facilities for up to 1,600  players.

Before moving to Cornwall , Geoff was appointed as Operations Manager at Pontins, Brean Sands, Somerset  which is where he met his lovely wife Louise.

Louise
Louise from Newcastle upon Tyne  had planned a life studying law and became a Legal Executive, but decided to join Geoff and help build up the business CARBOOTSCORNWALL

In 1989 Geoff and  Louise started their first Car Boot Sale at Falmouth Rugby Club steadily gaining a reputation for their fairness to all customers’ buyers and sellers alike.

Gone are the days when the dealers were the only ones to "get the bargains"  and when sellers arrived their cars were descended upon by over-eager buyers leaving the distraught drivers to undersell their items.

Now it is all done in a successful system that is a credit and respects to all concerned, INCLUDING the Dealers.

Truro City Cattle Market was the next Car Boot Sale followed by Newquay Circus Fields, MABE, Mitchell, HENDRA, with 3 new locations this year at STITHIANS, Fowey and ROYAL CORNWALL SHOWGROUND.

Geoff and Louise are proud of their success in running the Car Boot Sales and Markets, firstly they are providing a COMMUNITY event for you the Public, it is well supervised and a safe environment and the re-cycling record is SECOND to NONE!
