MARKET TRADERS
A stall that offers NEW stock at BARGAIN/SPECIAL PRICES which are within the law. (The selling of FAKE DVDs/CDs is against the law and will not be allowed at ANY of our MARKET CAR BOOTS)

CAR BOOT SELLERS
Stalls that sell ONLY second-hand items. Any Boot Seller selling NEW items, will be asked to pay Market rates.

NON-SETUPS
A seller who pays to sell, but does not set-up until the official buying time, gaining an unfair advantage over other buyers.

Some of our Landlords do not want Bouncy Castles, please ask Geoff for further details.

ALL MARKET TRADERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE FULL PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR THEIR STALLS AND PRODUCTS CATERING ARRANGEMENTS AT ALL LOCATIONS

Car Boots Cornwall have FULL PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE for all locations, however it is up to ALL sellers to have individual PUBLIC LIABILITY cover.

• We believe in fair play for our sellers and buyers alike. DO NOT go into sellers boots.
• No item is on sale until it is out of the car
• Our car boots start at the time stated buyers should not arrive earlier
• We will not reserve pitches for any of our locations, with the exception of our catering stalls
• Catering facilities at all locations
• Market traders welcome, at all our car boot sales
• Falmouth Sports Ground strictly NO dogs
• If you are coming to sell at any of our Sales we hope you have a very successful day
• PLEASE TAKE ALL YOUR RUBBISH WITH YOU!! THANK YOU
• SECOND HAND ELECTRICAL ITEMS!! We will check second-hand electrical items to ensure that they have SHIELDED PLUGS! If you are not sure, DONT SELL! PLEASE ASK one of our STAFF!!
• All Market Traders will possess PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCES and would be required to show the Certificate/s on request.

Car Boots Cornwall reserve the right to refuse admission to buyer/seller, whom we decide is not conductive to ‘our aim’ for fair play to all concerned, buyer and seller alike.

THE ADMISSION CHARGES TO OUR CAR BOOT SALE BUYERS WILL INCREASE TO 30P AND WILL NOT INCREASE FURTHER UNTIL A REVIEW IN 2010

Market Traders

Market Traders are welcome at most of our sites, if you want to sell at any other site apart from HENDRA, NEWQUAY, MABE and STITIANS, it is best to ask Geoff or Louise regarding the allocation of spaces.

The majority of Market Traders visit HENDRA MARKET/CAR BOOT and wherever possible we believe that it is good to mix the market stall traders with the car boot sellers. The only times this presents a problem, is if the car booters decide to leave early, leaving vacant spaces. We will now ask all ‘car boot sellers’ who are parked near to Market Stalls to stay a minimum period and not create gaps in the selling lines. We surveyed our buyers at Hendra and 90% of those asked told us that they were ‘here for the CAR BOOT and they would look at the market stalls after’. We decided to REDUCE the cost of market traders this year to £1.50 per foot frontage, this takes into consideration the Market Traders operating costs, including travel and fuel. However, this is the PRICE and not negotiable further. All Market Traders are required to hold a PUBLIC LIABILITY Insurance and we will ask to see these from commencement of the season.

All Market Traders are required to leave their selling space clean and tidy, as it is their responsibility to take away all items of rubbish/boxes etc. Leaving rubbish at Car Boots Sales is FLY TIPPING and illegal!

We hope all our Market Traders have a GREAT SEASON and if their customers get a good bargain, they will come back!!
